Party Mix

This is one of those recipes where every time you make it, it’ll probably be a little different. There are no WRONG things to put in the mix, but what I listed below is our favorite. Play with it, see what your family + kids like, and make it your own. But what really makes this so good is the sauce and the baking time. That is the magic in this recipe!

Party Mix

Short Family Party Mix Recipe

Course Snack
Cuisine American

Ingredients

  • 1 box Corn Chex Cereal
  • 1 box Rice Chex Cereal
  • 1 box Wheat Check Cereal
  • 1 box Cheerios
  • 12 oz Mixed Nuts
  • 1 bag Bagel Chips
  • 1 bag Pretzels
  • 1 bag Buggles
  • 1 bag Original Goldfish
  • 32 tbsp Butter Yes this is A LOT of butter, but you need it all
  • 12 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 9 tsp Lowry's Seasoning Salt
  • 4.5 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 3 tsp Onion Powder

Instructions

  • Combine all the Chex cereal, Cheerios, nuts, bagel chips, pretzels, Buggles, and goldfish (we use 3 really big bowls to do this).
  • In a separate bowl, melt the butter and add in the Worcestershire sauce, Lowery's seasoning salt, garlic powder, and onion powder into the melted butter.
  • Pour the melted butter + seasoning mixture equally overtop all of the Chex mixture that you have and stir well to cover all of the mix.
  • Preheat the oven to 250 degrees. While the oven is heating up, place the party mix on a cookie sheet in one thin layer. (This takes us 3-4 batches of baking)
  • Bake the party mix for 1 hour, taking it out of the oven to shake it every 15 minutes.
  • After one hour, take the mix out of the oven, and allow it to cool on paper towels for 1 hour.
  • Once cool, store in Tupperware or ziplock bags. Keep in an airtight container for the best shelf life. And enjoy!

Notes

We make one big batch of this recipe and it lasts us for a WHILE. You can also make a lesser quantity if that works better for you!
