In my opinion, pancakes are the best way to start the weekend! Here is my favorite made-from-scratch pancake recipe. It’s easy to make, family/ kid friendly, and so many ways you can change it up each time you make it. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Whole Wheat Pancakes
Ingredients
- 1 ¼ cup Whole Wheat Flour can sub for all purpose flour if you prefer
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 egg chose organic/ free range when possible
- 1 cup milk
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp stevia can sub for other sweetener or sugar if prefered
- Butter
- Syrup
- optional: blueberries, chocolate chips or other mix-ins you may like!
Instructions
- Mix flour and baking powder together in on large bowl. In a separate bowl stir together the egg, milk, salt and sweetener. Once combined, slowly stir flower into the egg/milk mixture until combined.
- Ensure that the batter is runny enough that it can easily be poured. If not, add a little more milk and stir in as needed.
- Stir in any additional mix-ins that you may choose to use (blueberries/ chocolate chips etc.)
- Heat a skillet of medium-low heat with butter in the bottom of the pan. Pour batter into the heated skillet and let cook until it bubbles (about 90 seconds). Flip pancake and continue cooking until golden brown.
- Repeat with remaining batter until all pancakes are cooked. Serve with butter and syrup.
